Bakery Counter Sales Associate (Front of House) / Part-Time Permanent

We’re looking for an energetic, friendly Bakery Counter Sales Associate to join our front-of-house team immediately. The ideal candidate enjoys connecting with customers, learning about our bakery items, and providing exceptional service in a warm, welcoming environment. Work hours are 7:30am - 1:30pm, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for 18 hours per week (some additional days/hours may be available during holidays or special promotions).  

Responsibilities 

• Greet customers, take orders, and process sales accurately 

• Describe pastries, baked goods, and specialty products with enthusiasm and product knowledge (including basic French pronunciation of items) 

• Package bakery items for customers with care and attention to detail

• Maintain a clean, organized counter and display area 

• Restock products and merchandise, and assist with light opening and closing tasks 

• Assemble pastry boxes and food item packaging

• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management 

Qualifications 

• Previous food service or bakery experience preferred 

• Excellent customer service and communication skills 

• Friendly, professional, and reliable 

• Interest in learning about French pastries and ingredients 

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting and to stand for entire shift (up to 7 hours)

Compensation & Perks 

• $13 per hour plus shared tips (tipped wages typically range from $18-$22 per hour) 

• 18 hours per week (Thursday–Saturday schedule); plus potential for additional hours during holidays or special promotions.
